Three-star offensive tackle Rafiti Ghirmai names Texas in top 10

Posted March 20th, 2017

Frisco Wakeland offensive tackle Rafiti Ghirmai named Texas among his top 10 Monday on Twitter. The three-star received an offer from Texas Jan. 24 and fdfdrecruitment exploded nationally shortly after. Ghirmai’s top 10 includes national powers Ohio State, Michigan and Alabama, as well as in-state rival TCU.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound prospect is the only true offensive tackle from Texas the Longhorns have offered in the 2018 cycle. Allen’s Trey Stratford holds a Texas offer, but is most likely a guard or center at the college level. Tom Herman’s staff is also in the hunt for out-of-state offensive tackle prospects Max Wray and Nana Asiedu.
