The Texas softball team managed just two hits as it fell to Baylor 7-0 Saturday in the third-place game at the Big 12 Tournament in Oklahoma City.
Gia Rodoni (15-2) and Kelsee Selman combined to shut out the Longhorns (31-24). Rodoni allowed two hits and struck out six, and Selman pitched two perfect innings to finish the game.
Erica Wright (7-7) took the loss as she allowed a run on one hit through 3 1/3 innings. She walked three and struck out two.
Kyla Walker went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, and Shelby McGlaun homered and drove in two runs for Baylor (43-12).
Devon Tunning and Mickenzi Krpec were the only Longhorns to get hits in the game, both harmless singles.
Texas will learn its postseason fate at 9 p.m. Sunday during the NCAA Tournament selection show, which will air on ESPN2.
