From Texas to the Texans: D’Onta Foreman signs a four-year deal with Houston

Posted June 17th, 2017

Former Texas running back D’Onta Foreman is signed, sealed and delivered.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Foreman has agreed to his first professional contract with the Houston Texans. Foreman’s four-year deal is reportedly worth $3.259 million, and his signing bonus is valued at just under $760,000. In the negotiations, Foreman was represented by Select Sports Group.

As of yesterday, Foreman was one of 20 unsigned rookies from the NFL’s 253-player draft.

In April, Houston used a third-round pick (89th overall) on Foreman. Coming off a 2,028-yard, 15-touchdown junior year at Texas, the 2016 Doak Walker Award winner joins a NFL backfield that includes Lamar Miller (1,073 yards in 2016), Alfred Blue (420) and Akeem Hunt (109).
