110 ways Drew Mehringer showed he’s pumped about Texas’ latest commitment

Posted July 25th, 2017

When Brennan Eagles committed to Texas on Monday evening, social media blew up.

But you already knew that. The Longhorns have had 14 players commit to the 2018 recruiting class under Tom Herman, and — at least on Twitter — the coaching staff has treated each one like the next coming of Vince Young.

Clearly, whatever the Longhorns are doing seems to be working. The class currently ranks No. 4 in the 247Sports composite, and the commitments keep pouring in. Over the weekend, Herman even opened his 2019 account with four-star quarterback Roschon Johnson.

But if you thought Eagles’ commitment felt a little different, you’d be right. The No. 12-ranked player in the Fabulous 55 drew a barrage of excitement in the Twittersphere, especially if you follow Texas wide receivers coach Drew Mehringer.

The 29-year-old has been mashing re-tweet since 9 p.m. last night, with the total sitting at 110 shares (we counted because we care). We’re guessing it would be more, but he had to have spent some time in Twitter jail for that, right?

Anyway, without further ado, here are Mehringer’s 110 adrenaline-fueled re-tweets. Because there’s no disclaimer, we’re gonna go ahead and infer that re-tweets most definitely equal endorsements.
