Texas offering free football tickets to Hurricane Harvey victims

Texans displaced from their homes by Hurricane Harvey can claim free tickets to Saturday’s football game between Texas and San Jose State, the UT athletic department announced Tuesday.

Hurricane victims can claim up to six free tickets for the game by registering online before noon Thursday, Sept. 7. The game kicks off at 2:30 p.m. Saturday inside Royal-Memorial Stadium.

The school will send a follow up email on Friday with a promotional code and instructions on how to claim tickets.

During the game, Texas will also host approximately 2,000 first responders and their families. The first fans through the gate will receive a Texas flag.
