Texas men’s golf team ranked No. 6 in preseason poll

The Texas men’s golf team will start this season at No. 6 in the country, the Golf Coaches Association of American announced Friday.

Texas, returning four players, joins three other Big 12 teams ranked in the top-6. Oklahoma St. is ranked No. 1 with Oklahoma coming in at No. 3 and Baylor ranked fourth.

Doug Ghim and Scottie Scheffler, both All-Americans, will lead the squad.

The Texas men’s golf team took the Big 12 title for the fifth straight year and finished in 12th at the NCAA Championships last season.
